Windows Auto Start Locations
miT Sun, 10/11/2009 - 11:39
This is a list of auto-start locations that malware’s normally use to restart themselves on a system reboot.
We have tried to find their Windows Vista entries too. Windows 7, we don’t know yet. Now, some might not work on all platforms. They might not work on Windows 98, 95, ME, etc. as they are not Windows NT bases and the NT’s work differently. Some will also work without any registry key manipulation.
We have maintained a few known abbreviations just to shorten the post. They are as follows:
HKLM : HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
HKCU : HKEY_CURRENT_USER
HKCR : HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT

Tools menu missing from Outlook
miT Thu, 06/04/2009 - 07:56
I had a client call me just now saying he couldn't get into Email Options to edit his signature because the Tools menu was no where to be found. After trying to figure out HOW he got rid of that crucial menu, i just walked him through resetting his menu interface and layout all-together.
If you still have File / Edit / View at the top you can simply reset the menus to get everything back they way they should be.
Go to: View -> Toolbars -> Customize
Select the Toolbars tab and click Reset.
Microsoft Outlook 2003 / 2007 error 0x8004010F - Object could not be found
miT Wed, 04/22/2009 - 14:36
I was focusing on this issue being on the server side, but from my further research it seems to be the client side.
Try this first: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/835215
Alternatively you could just search for the form FRMCACHE.DAT file and delete it manually.
If the client still receives the error, create a whole new profile for their email (yeah I know, this sucks) per: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/312354
This should rebuild their local cache which seems to be the issue.
